Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) Stipend Distribution for A.Y. 2019-2020

With the support of Provincial Governor Philip T. Tan of Misamis Occidental, and the assitance of PNP Provincial Director PCOL Danilo B. Tumanda, NMSCST distributed Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) stipends to its grantees for A.Y. 2019-2020 last May 11, 2020. NMSCST staff visited various municipalites to distribute the said stipends. NMSCST staff and students complied to the safety and health measures imposed by the local government.

The TES is one of the core programs under RA 10931. It is a grants-in-aid program that gives additional stipend to poor but deserving students who are enrolled in SUCs/LUCs whose names appear in the Listahanan 2.0 or the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) list of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Beneficiaries in public universities get Php40,000 per school year for their additional education expenses such as books, school supplies, room and board fees, transportation and other educational-related expenses.
