Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology joins the celebration of the 1st National Higher Education Day May 18, 2021 and CHED 27th Founding Anniversary May 17-21, 2021 with a theme, "PADYAK! Moving Forward, Claiming Victory for Philippine Higher Education Pamantasan: Pandayan Tungo sa Kaunlaran".

The celebration comes after the passage into law of Republic Act (RA) no. 11522 or An Act declaring the 18th day of May as "National Higher Education Day" to commemorate the founding anniversary of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). 

The weeklong celebration feature academic and non-academic national and regional activities, online conferences, webinars, showcases of talents, and health and wellness-related events, among others.  The national opening ceremony of CHEd’s Higher Education week will be on May 17 at 8 a.m., while the national closing ceremony will be on May 21 at 3 p.m. All activities during the celebration may also be viewed in the official CHED-NCR Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/PhCHED.gov.
