Unapologetic Apology: Pagsusuri Sa Paraan, Pag-Ako, Pagtanggi, At Pagsunod Sa Kondisyon Ng Pagkalugod Ng Lengguwahe Ng Paghingi Ng Tawad Matapos Ang Walang-Habas Na Pagwasak Sa Relasyon

Sa panahon kung saan ang mga personal na iskandalo ng mga personalidad ay agad na nagiging panooring-publiko, ang pagkilos nang paghingi ng kapatawaran ay nabago tungo sa madiskarteng digital na paraan. Sumasalamin ang pananaliksik na ito sa mga masasalimoot na pragmatikong paghingi ng tawad na ipinahayag ng mga kilalang Pilipinong personalidad—kasunod nang walang-habas na pagkasira ng relasyong batid ng publiko. Gamit ang kuwalitatibong dulog sa pamamagitan ng tekstuwal na pagsusuri, inilapat ng papel na ito ang teorya ni Trosborg hinggil sa Estratehiya ng Paghingi ng Tawad, at Kondisyon sa
Pagkalugod ni Searle upang himayin kung paano ginamit ng mga personalidad ang wika upang ayusin ang nasirang reputasyon. Natuklasan ng pag-aaral ang magkakaibang ispektrum ng lingguwistikong maniobra: habang ang ilang personalidad ay tinanggap ang buong pananagutan at katapatan, ang iba ay gumamit ng mga estratehiya sa pagtatanggol, tulad
ng pagbibigay-katwiran at ‘di-direktang pag-ako sa responsibilidad, upang pagaanin ang bigat ng kanilang mga paglabag. Higit, nagkaroon ng kontekstuwalisasyon ang pananaliksik sa integrasyon ng mga Pilipinong konseptong pangkultura—kabilang ang hiya, pakikiramdam, at dangal—upang ipaliwanag kung bakit ang ilang estratehiya ay higit na tumutugon sa lokal na konteksto. Huli, ang pananaliksik na ito ay nag-aalok ng kritikal na balangkas para sa pag-unawa kung paano hinuhubog ng mga birtuwal na espasyo ang etika ng pananagutan, at ang wika ng pagtubos sa kontemporaryong midya sa Pilipinas.
